Before You Start
Review Required Documentation
To ensure a seamless and efficient application process for your child(ren) at our school, we require certain key documents to be submitted along with your application.
These documents help us better understand each child's educational background and any specific needs they may have. Depending on your child's circumstances, some or all of the following documents will be needed to finalize their application:
Mandatory Submission Checklist for All Applicants:
Proof of Canadian Citizenship/Immigration Status (A copy of both the front and back of the document is required.)
Copies of the last 2 most recent report cards to give us insight into your child's academic progress.
Additional Documents Required for Certain Applicants:
Individualized Program Plan (required if your child has an IPP)
Psycho-Educational Assessment (if applicable, submit this to help us understand your child's learning needs.)
Legal documentation related to the child’s custody and/or safety (if applicable)
How do I submit the documents?
Most digital documents (e.g., PDF files) can be submitted electronically inside the student application.
If you have only hard copies, you can either digitize them in order to upload them inside the student application, or drop them off at the school after your application has been submitted.
If you submit your application without uploading all the required documents, your application will remain incomplete until the required documents are uploaded electronically or hard copies are provided to the school. Automated notifications advising which document are missing will be sent.

Calgary Girls Charter School is a publicly funded, tuition free, Charter school. CGCS provides all supplies required for learning, with the exception of the student’s personally owned device.
The fee schedule for 2023-2024 for grades 4 - 9 can be found here. The information provided is representative of annual fees for attending CGCS. The fee deadlines can be found in the fee schedule. Please note that all fees are paid in the parent portal, which parents are granted access to upon final registration.
In the case of financial need, families may qualify to receive grants for fees related to instruction, enrichment, outdoor education and/or transportation. Grants are not available through CGCS for lunch room supervision and/or after school care. Please email CGCSFees@mycgcs.ca to inquire about school fees.
Note: The student application should take about 10-15 minutes per student to complete. Please ensure you have enough time to complete the process. If you close the window prior to completing the application, your data may not be saved, and you will have to start over.
