To ensure a seamless and efficient application process for your child(ren) at our school, we require certain key documents to be submitted after you complete your application.
These documents help us better understand each child's educational background and any specific needs they may have. Depending on your child's circumstances, some or all of the following documents will be needed to finalize their application:
Copy of legal Birth Certificate
Canadian birth certificate, or birth certificate for your child's birth country
Parent names must be listed on the document.
Both the front and back of the document is required.
Copies of the last 2 most recent report cards
To give us insight into your child's academic progress.
Copy of Immigration Status Certificate (if your child was not born in Canada)
Canadian Permanent Resident Card or Canadian Study Permit
Copy of Individualized Program Plan
Required if your child has an active IPP, or has been issued one in the past)
Copy of a Psycho-Educational Assessment if your child has received one, to help us understand your child's learning needs.
Required if your child has received such an assessment.
Copy of Behavioural Assessment if your child has received one, to help us understand your child's learning needs.
Required if your child has received such an assessment.
Copy of Any Applicable Court-Ordered Guardianship Order, if your child is the subject of such an order.
After you submit your application(s), you will be redirected to a page that will list the documents required for each applicant.
You'll receive a confirmation email with a link to our secure portal where you can upload each required document.
If you have only hard copies, you can either digitize them in order to upload them, or drop them off at the school after your application has been submitted.
All required supporting documentation must be provided following application submission in order for the application to be completed. Applications remain in an incomplete state until all required supporting documents have been uploaded or dropped off at our school office. Automated notifications advising which document are missing will be sent.
Calgary Girls Charter School is a publicly funded, tuition free, Charter school. CGCS provides all supplies required for learning, with the exception of the student’s personally owned device.
The suggested fee schedule for 2025-2026 for grades 4 - 9 can be found here. The information provided is representative of annual fees for attending CGCS. The fee deadlines can be found in the fee schedule. Please note that all fees are paid in the parent portal, which parents are granted access to after an application is approved, and an invitation to register is extended.
In the case of financial need, families may qualify to receive grants for fees related to instruction, enrichment, outdoor education and/or transportation. Grants are not available through CGCS for lunch room supervision and/or after school care. Please email CGCSFees@mycgcs.ca to inquire about school fees.
